I had dear friend die tragically in a motorcycle accident recently, very unexpected and extremely sad for everyone that knew him. A few days later I was in my darkroom processing some film and I saw my friend come back to life right before my eyes, it was the last photo I made of him, only days before he would leave this earth forever. I had a pretty heavy moment by myself in my darkroom, realizing what’s important, what’s not and how much I take for granted everyday. Photography is special like that, If you know me, or met me you probably know I have a little point and shoot film camera on my person at all times. Im always taking photos of friends out at the bar, on our cross country trips or hungover breakfast the next day. I never really did much with the images other then post them on the internet so I figured putting them in a tangible presentation that will last forever would be pretty special. One day we will all cross over to the other side, but for now i’m going to do my best enjoy every moment while i’m here. These images are the good times, the fun times and the Fast Times From The Other Side. I call it a zine but its honestly closer to a book, don’t be fooled by the spiral bound it lays it out very well and the quality is next level.
